Taggiasco Olive Dry Gin is an innovative Italian spirit and the world’s first gin infused with Taggiasca olives. Produced at 44% ABV in the Liguria region, this savory gin bridges the gap between classic spirits and Mediterranean agriculture through a collaboration between Paolo Boeri, from the renowned Olio Roi olive oil family, and Turin restaurateur Davide Pinto. The distillation process occurs at low temperatures around 60°C to lock in the volatile, delicate aromas of its core botanicals, which include juniper, coriander, pink pepper, and premium Taggiasca olives. This creates a fragrant, fresh aroma highlighting juniper, rosemary, and subtle citrus notes. On the palate, the resinous pine from the juniper balances seamlessly against mildly sweet, savory olive flavors and a touch of peppery spice, culminating in a highly complex, dry, and distinctively briny finish with a savory green olive end note. Because of its distinctively salty, savory undertones, this gin shines brightest in a Dirty Martini, matches perfectly with a neutral tonic water and lemon twist, or provides an incredible foundation for a tomato-based Red Snapper.
